The place is definitely among the most magical of Italy (and I would say even the world), Nestled on the banks of the Brescian shore of lago di Garda features a tropical vegetation and ancient, but above all with the unmistakable architecture of lemon groves, skeletons hanging on the hills and still loads of magnificent fruit trees.
Villa Feltrinelli lies a few hundred metres north of Gargnano and represents the gargnanese building with greater historical celebrities. Situated in a superb location on the western shore of Lake Garda, You can consider the family country house Feltrinelli, which once transferred to Milan made the refuge from the summer heat meneghina. Designed in neo-Gothic style, the Feltrinelli personally followed Interior care commissioning at various craftsmen of intricate wood paneling, carved wooden ceilings, stained-glass and painted ceilings.
The historic residence of the countryside has now been transformed into a luxury hotel , Open from April to October, with continuous duty 80dipendenti.
In 1997, After years of decline, a great hotelier named Bob Burns (founder of chain “Regent International Hotels”) in fact gave new life to the structure, by outsourcing studying interior architecture “Babey Moulton Jue & Booth” of San Francisco, who have recreated the atmosphere of a residence of noble families.
The villa is connected to a large park with rare trees, exotics also old; from rustic buildings that once were the homes of peasants who worked for Feltrinelli. With the repurposing hotels have become veritable houses available to customers looking for something more exclusive suites located in the main building. The villa was also provided with a large limonaia still visible.
The remains of the old lemon-House is now a well-kept garden available to guests who choose to stay in cottages scattered around the Park.
In this place so special is fortunate to work with Stefano Baiocco, to which Michelin 2014 awarded the second star. Dinner on a terrace by the Lake (a few tables are positioned on the beach) and this creates the right atmosphere for the cuisine of Baiocco, I would call — stealing the words to a dear friend a thousand times more expert than me — some modern’ extreme. The charm of some dishes is absolute, other more subjective.
An experience to be done at least once in a lifetime (calculated 250 euro, do not overdo it with wine).
Here are our two menus and photos of environment and some dishes.
