Best New Chef of North Italy 2012 | Here is the winner

AND’ Diego Rigotti, According to David Bertoni in Castel Toblino (TN) and already Emerging Best Chef del Trentino, the best Up-and-coming Chef of North Italy 2012, elected tonight in Houston under the famous contest of food critic Luigi Cremona.

Rigotti had the best out of a total of 16 competitors, among them there were unfamiliar names. Here's all the chefs in the race:

Lombardy:

  • Larkins of "Opera Restaurant" to the hub (BG)
  • Andrea Mainardi's "Cooking Workshop" in Brescia
  • Luca Sacchi of the "Ristorante Cracco in Milan
  • Andrea Bailey of "Conca Bella" Canton Ticino in Vacallo (first foreign presence in this award!)

Piemonte:

  • Davide smell "me and the Moon" in Guarene (CN)
  • Henry Zaher of the "Tajut" in San Mauro (TO)

Val d'Aosta:

Enrico Facco of "AD Gallias Bard" (AO)

Liguria:

Gaya Molino "Trattoria del Falco" in Finale Ligure (SV)

Emilia Romagna:

  • Lorenzo Barsotti "Barsotti Trattoria Enoteca" to Marzabotto (BO)
  • Andrea Mama "The Palta" in Piacenza
  • Angel During the "Antica Corte Pallavicina in Polesine Parmense (PR)
  • James Amicucci of Vicolo Santa Lucia "in Cattolica (RN)

Trentino Alto Adige:

  • Diego Rigotti of "Castel Toblino" at Sarche (TN)
  • Julian Seeber of "Alpine Dolomites" in Siusi Alps (BZ)

Veneto:

  • Alessandro Dal Degan of "La Tana" in Asiago (VC)
  • Francis Joyce Magonono of Dolada in Pieve d'alpago (BL)
These, Instead, the dishes with which Diego won the coveted title. Now Diego will go straight to the finals scheduled for next October in Rome. I am proud of its outcome and of working with Cremona for the arrival of Emerging Chefs in Trentino, last June: It is from here that Diego Rigotti has embarked on the road to his success today, from an event designed to encourage caterers thirty and strongly desired by Palazzo Roccabruna and Trento Chamber of Commerce.
