October lombardo begins at "Taste of wine"

Know and appreciate all the nuances of the Lombard oenology. Meet producers, and together they discover the secrets to get the delicious nectar of Bacchus, ideal companion of various culinary finesse.

Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 October the Polisportiva San Pantaleone and ONAV Lombardy, in collaboration with the Comune di Grumello del Monte, in the Multipurpose Hall of the Palafeste of Grumello del Monte, organize a meeting between the Lombard cuisine.

In this exciting two days, modern Virgilio, experts will Onav (National Wine Tasters) and Onaf (Organization Cheese Tasters) guide our palates to appreciate the musicianship and the tradition of the encounter between the varied fruits of this place. The glasses will be accompanied by offers of various stands of Honey tasters, those of balsamic vinegar, rakija, cheese, cold cuts and fruit tasting.

Hours 17.00 Inauguration-tasting stalls Opening of excellence in Lombardy.

Hours 18.30 The G.I.A – Italian Tasters – Group introduces itself:
Wines, cheese and salami and other products of Lombardy in combination.
Guided tasting.
Rapporteur: Shola Idowu – Pro President ONAV assisted by a master Taster ONAF.

Hours 20.00 VALCALEPIO D.O.C.
Guided tasting with cheese pairings.
Rapporteur: Shola Idowu – Pro President ONAV assisted by a master Taster ONAF.

Hours 21.00 Introduction to wine tasting grappas.
Led by a docent ANAG.

Hours 11.00 Tasting stalls opening and presentation of the book: The "cards" of Grumello and the agricultural school of Grumello del Monte.
Report by Professors Mario Suardi and Gianluigi Della Valentina, curators of the forthcoming volume wanted dall’Amministrazione Comunale.

Hours 11.30 FRANCIACORTA D.O.C.G. – Un metodo, un vino.
Degustazione guidata con abbinamenti di formaggi e salumi.
Rapporteur: Vito Intini – Pro Presidente ONAV coadiuvato da un Maestro Assaggiatore ONAF e un Maestro assaggiatore ONAS.

Hours 15.00 “Possibili futuri scenari del vino”.
Rapporteur: Prof. Mario Fregoni – Ambasciatore delle Città del Vino – Presidente onorario O.I.V. Organisation Internationale de la Vigne et du Vin.
Rapporteur: Prof. Alberto Vercesi – Coordinatore Città del Vino di Lombardia. Ist. Fruttiviticoltura – Università Cattolica S.C. in Milan, Piacenza.
Followed by a guided tasting of wines from prestigious lombardi.
