20-22 October, Milan: back “Le Grand Fooding”!

MILAN – After the success of last year by first Italian Edition, the gastronomic event Le Grand Fooding Bissa – Indeed, triples – also in Milan and also in October.

For the Edition 2011, the food critic alternative Alexandre Cammas and its followers of the movement Le Fooding they chose to tell the story of Italian food in Italy and in the world: so, If the first edition was just “Extra Virgin”, This is called The triumph of giant spaghetti. The protagonists are some of the best Italian and foreign chefs (of Italian origin, or otherwise filoitaliani), that reinterpreteranno our culinary heritage by following the fil rouge the "spaghetto".

The event will take place the 20, the 21 and the 22 October, still at theFactory 31 – Tortona Locations (via Tortona 31, Milan); four chefs every evening – two Italians and two foreigners – you with the kitchen sbizzarriranno tricolore, launching a veiled provocation: "best Italian in Italy… or abroad?”.

The aperitif will not of course be conventional: Champagne Mumm Cuvée Privilège combined with the “sacrilegious pizzas” by Charlie Hallowell (Pizzaiolo, San Francisco) and Jon Pollard (Pizza East, London). With their cocktails "Spaghetti Western" Sanbittèr and bowed, the girls of Arabeschi di Latte they'll then a dip in the past about Sergio Leone.

Dinner will follow, that will compare several large Italian cuisine internationally: the team – except for the return of Bao – It has been completely renovated since last year. We will cross the boot, from North to South, with Andrea Berton (Trussardi alla Scala, Milan), Davide Oldani (D'O, Cornaredo), Massimo Bottura (Osteria Francescana, Modena), Moreno Cedroni (Madonnina del Pescatore, Senigallia), Christian Talley (The Funnel, Viareggio), Pino Cuttaia (La Madia, Licata) then intrude in Côte d'Azur Mauro Colagreco (Mirazur, Menton).

Federica and Fabrizio M J (Coffee of Ch, Paris) and Giovanni Passerini (Rino Bistro, Paris) will represent Italians in Paris while Christian Puglisi (Relationship, Copenhagen) will lead to Milan air in Copenhagen. From the Americas will come Mario Carbone (Torrisi Italian Specialties, New York) and Pier Paolo Picchi (Beat uthe, Sao Paulo).

Here's the breakdown of the chefs expected to each evening:
Thursday, 20 October: Cedroni, O, Federica and Fabrizio M J, Coal;
Friday, 21 October: Colagreco, Bao, Cuttaia, Peaks;
Saturday 22 October: Tomei, PAL, Bajaj, Puglisi.

And since there is no Italian dish "the sign", every night one of four chefs will prepare a dish with which it will be impossible not to get dirty; but the Diners – seated at long tables set by famous designers Paola Navone – can protect against splashing by tying your neck funny baby bibs, offered by San Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, that will remain as a souvenir of the evening.

Dulcis in fundo: the Haagen Dazs ice cream bomb prepared by "bungler" Franco Aliberti, that the famous dessert outperformed by Gaye's duets created in the nineteenth century by a compatriot in Paris.

The soundtrack will be curated by the Parisian journalist and rounded deejay Rémy Kolpa Kopoul. The latecomers will not be able to enjoy dinner will finally the legendary Franco Cazzamali from Kuwait (CR), serving raw meat in its butcher shop clandestina.

The ticket (sale online starting from mid September) for the whole night will cost 50 € (from aperitif to party, all included). Like last year, part of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to charities in CAF Onlus – central aid to battered child and family in crisis.
