Last weekend at Marciano della Chiana (AR) There was a very nice event on food Street. To organize it was Streetfood Association led by Maximilian Ricciarini. A festival which will continue tomorrow to 5 June in San Casciamo Val di Pesa, in Chianti. Although the Festival was just born and then need to sharpen up some’ the Organization, filming locations, etc., the idea is good and I have made some great beautiful discoveries, as the dough boys & Compani, with their Ape turned into miniristorante (see photo above) to promote their pasta genuinissima (sold only in Italian markets, Germans and in 5 their restaurants scattered in France), and then the fantastic BOMBETTE the Slow Food Puglia Alberobello cooked over the coals or the TORTELLO THE PLATE del Casentino. Fantastic even Sicilian booth with its beautiful – to say the least – cannoli.
The Festival was combined with a contest, “Administrators in the kitchen”: — 7 local politicians who are challenged with pans and cookware cooking recipes improvised based on raw data available to the Organization. Really nice Idea, that definitely Streetfood will develop better in the coming years, Why should a greater media also echo, In addition to participation. The best “burner politician” Moreno went par and his delicious potato gnocchi with sausage and tomato. To me the fun of presiding over the jury and award the top three finishers.
