Robert Anesi is International Master

Today I woke up and I received a good news. Not bad for Monday! The friend sommelier trentino Roberto Anesi di Canazei (his restaurant El Pael), having placed fourth in the contest for best sommelier in Italy, yesterday – 25 April – managed to win the coveted title of "International Master on sweet and meditation wines", held at the Faculty of agriculture, University of Perugia. The tests are divided into two sessions. In the morning the competitors have had to engage in a questionnaire to 21 questions about the world of sweet wines (an hour of time to respond), then blind tasting of four samples and food pairing wine with one of four contestants ' choice. Those who passed the test, was faced with the final in the afternoon. Maurizio Zanolla (Best Sommelier in Tuscany 2005), Robert Anesi, Anna Attempts (Best Sommelier of Arezzo 2009) and Sergio Gareffa contended the title between tastings, service tests and corrections of wine lists. The final saw the first place Roberto Anesi trentino, According to Maurizio Zanolla (Florence), Anna tied third Attempt of Arezzo and the ligure Sergio Gareffa.

    Thank you Francesca for giving me the opportunity to express my thoughts from your beautiful new blog that I read every day.

    I want to share that satisfaction with the whole Trentino AIS gave me so many opportunities for growth but also with the entire sector that operates in an industry where the passion and commitment are touching with hands.

    For a particular person, though, I feel I need to say thank you…. and is my President Mariano Fernando.
    Since I decided to accept the request to partner alongside him I didn't miss a single chance to tap into his knowledge and preparation.

    And now Dear Francesca hail…. After so many sweet wines, I feel the need to go back to the newspaper and to celebrate with a nice bubble, Thirty of course!!
